Finally::: the numbers

Posted in: Muscatine

Not rolling with laughter at all. I'm saddened. You were challenged for proof. You have proven NOTHING. How does anyone know what the hell was on any list. How can I spent two minutes and find more scandals than you list in numbers, for Clinton alone? We have never seen any list or the intimate sources as proof of anything.

We are supposed to believe you as a single source because you post some numbers? Hardly! This is nothing more than a wasted effort on your part. Sorry if you think you had some incredible earth shattering report...but all this is is your interpretation of some else's interpretation.! Just more fluff.

Just let it go and move on.

HiyaSmile

Good idea BigB. Movin on and lovin it. Besides all the ignorance displayed by many, I had some of my own corrected. Like I said, it was worth it to me, and even my revelation that the dems were worse doesn't make some happy, is what truly is the sad part. Children::::: when will they grow up.Cry

What joke! Hell, I spent two minutes just now and found you wrong on Clinton. You said Clinton had 18 scandals, but here are at least 20 I just found in two clicks.

William Jefferson Clinton- Impeached by the House of Representatives over
allegations of perjury and obstruction of justice, but acquitted by the
Senate. Additional scandals include Whitewater - Travelgate Gennifer Flowersgate -
Filegate - Vince Fostergate - Whitewater Billing Recordsgate - Paula
Jonesgate- Lincoln Bedroomgate - Donations from Convicted Drug and Weapons
Dealersgate - Lippogate - Chinagate - The Lewinsky Affair - Perjury and
Jobs for Lewinskygate - Kathleen Willeygate - Web Hubbell - Prison Phone
Callgate - Selling Military Technology to the Chinesegate - Jaunita
Broaddrick Gate - Lootergate - Pardongate.

So much for all your hard work and sources. For you to have made the ratio assertion you initially made....the info had to come from somewhere for you to make that decision. Now, I only hope you see how misinformed people can get and what a mistake it is to speak in absolutes. If more liberals would research things....

Oh well...its over with now.

I'ts not quite over.   First, what you call whitewatergate, travelgate, filegate and vince fostergate are completely fabricated scandals.   Even Ken Starr's report, after spending nearly $50 million and five years, says, in effect, there's nothing to them.   Vince Foster's suicide as a scandal is the most phoney of them all.   Type in Vince Foster and go to Suicide of Vince Foster and read the whole thing and you should be embarassed.   As for the others you list, I think the same thing can be said about most  of them.   Richard Mellon Scaife spent a lot of his billions to create these and he got a lot of people to believe them, apparently you among them.   Which is too bad.

And I will add that Elian Gonzalas has no place here either.   A father wanted his son back and is wife's relatives were stubborn and wouldn't give him up.   If there is a scandal it would be that our government didn't act sooner.

I'm sorry babybird, you should have stayed with only convictions of crimes which had an effect on government actions and started with Truman or somewhere along there.

The results would have been different and more meaningful.

And I have trouble with your numbers for Truman.   The fewest scandals and the most convictions etc.   The latter just isn't believable to me.   He was one of the more honest presidents we had

Hi MalSmile

I agree. Unfortunately it wasn't about honesty or crimes, we stayed with scandals in general. The criminal aspects of scandal were not what put Truman on the map so to speak. But the few scandals that did affect the record tainted his tenure with 161 resignations::: thus scandals. But you are right there, the long list of criminal activity:::Scandals all::: still went to the repubs. WOW was that a ride for them boys in the Reagan crew. GW Bush took a close second place. But sorry to roll out on Truman, though miniscule at best, Truman did make the list. B. Clinton, only the second democrat to earn two terms in almost 50 years and the second democrat since 1972, came in 3rd over all. His pardon score was the largest next to Reagan.

You might already have thought about it, but dad and I were talking about all this today, and he had some insight to offer. Noting that prior to::: and since the depression, all our major financial troubles occurred after every lengthy republican control in the white house. 160 billion in S&L bailouts during Reagan's turns. Another followed GHW Bush, then the longest recovery in our history with a sweet surplus during Clinton, and then eight years of GWBush::::::::::Kerplunk:::Kerpow:::Kerplooy! Poor stupid Odumba and those morons now running congress didn't have the brains to let the republicans keep it. He said, "They had to step up and say: "We'll Fix It", but there aint no fixing this, not now, perhaps not even in the next four or more years." "Had McCain won we wouldn't even be talking about this today, because we'd do the exact same thing Bush did and now Odumbler's trying to do, or fall into another full blown depression." "Who said it first? Yup GW said they're too big to fail, first, and then have no choice but to lay the black roses at their feet." No, the republicans are in the sweetest place they could possibly be in right now." "Waste our financial future in corporate greed, millions of lost jobs, no capital because of those massive tax cuts, two endless wars and then sit back while the democrats struggle with an unimaginable mess, then swoop in this Nov. and 2012, take it all back and start it all over again." "Palin was a brilliant strategy for failure, you have to spend a little to make more." "So look out, 2012 will be a pay the piper  year, and guess who'll ride the blame train into the history books, dumb--s Obama?" Poison apples, he didn't eat either of em. I guess we'll see in the next 4 what these grifters pull huh.

I love my dad.
