Hi Mal
I agree. Unfortunately it wasn't about honesty or crimes, we stayed with scandals in general. The criminal aspects of scandal were not what put Truman on the map so to speak. But the few scandals that did affect the record tainted his tenure with 161 resignations::: thus scandals. But you are right there, the long list of criminal activity:::Scandals all::: still went to the repubs. WOW was that a ride for them boys in the Reagan crew. GW Bush took a close second place. But sorry to roll out on Truman, though miniscule at best, Truman did make the list. B. Clinton, only the second democrat to earn two terms in almost 50 years and the second democrat since 1972, came in 3rd over all. His pardon score was the largest next to Reagan.
You might already have thought about it, but dad and I were talking about all this today, and he had some insight to offer. Noting that prior to::: and since the depression, all our major financial troubles occurred after every lengthy republican control in the white house. 160 billion in S&L bailouts during Reagan's turns. Another followed GHW Bush, then the longest recovery in our history with a sweet surplus during Clinton, and then eight years of GWBush::::::::::Kerplunk:::Kerpow:::Kerplooy! Poor stupid Odumba and those morons now running congress didn't have the brains to let the republicans keep it. He said, "They had to step up and say: "We'll Fix It", but there aint no fixing this, not now, perhaps not even in the next four or more years." "Had McCain won we wouldn't even be talking about this today, because we'd do the exact same thing Bush did and now Odumbler's trying to do, or fall into another full blown depression." "Who said it first? Yup GW said they're too big to fail, first, and then have no choice but to lay the black roses at their feet." No, the republicans are in the sweetest place they could possibly be in right now." "Waste our financial future in corporate greed, millions of lost jobs, no capital because of those massive tax cuts, two endless wars and then sit back while the democrats struggle with an unimaginable mess, then swoop in this Nov. and 2012, take it all back and start it all over again." "Palin was a brilliant strategy for failure, you have to spend a little to make more." "So look out, 2012 will be a pay the piper year, and guess who'll ride the blame train into the history books, dumb--s Obama?" Poison apples, he didn't eat either of em. I guess we'll see in the next 4 what these grifters pull huh.
I love my dad.
