Finally! This saddens me. Not that I was/am wrong and hate crow-pie, but that it truly shows how badly our government is managed and horribly crooked these tiny handfulls of lawyers really are. So:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

With an error margin of 2% The over all Scandal trophy goes to the DEMOCRATS. I know, it is a sad moment for Liberal hopes and a small victory for Conservative "I Knew it's." Now note::: Not all scandals were specifically to the party in power:::I say small because though dems have a grand total of 212 scandals and repubs 176 scandals that include all forms of scandal::: legal, sexual or ethical. That is until the end of this term. there are way too many for any party.  I know I know. After many many hours of trying to discern the truth, I am tired of politics for one, but so saddened by the huge pile of scandal perpetrated by  both parties.

I did go back to 1777 though. I had to include the left and right entities since each were the predecessors of the current system. Though it didn't matter much since almost all our scandals have been committed in the past 80 years. I went through 24 sources including::: hundreds of articles from the Washington Post, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Time Magazine, US News, AP news and books galore. The Nation, Watergate Begins, Capitol Hill-Indecent Exposure, Georgia Encyclopedia, Around The Nation, Wolfgang Saxon, Biographical Directory-US Congress, Guide To Federal Records-National Archives, Truth Or Consequences 2000, and a few others not on my list just now. If it matters at all, and I doubt it will, the most crooked adminstartion was Ronald Reagan hands down, with 23 scandals and 138 indictments/resignations/deaths/convictions, all in lou of any pardons or commutations . the second was George W. Bush with 39 indictments, etc and 32 scandals. Bill Clinton had 18 scandals with 29 indictments etc. Nixon had 6 scandals with 91 indictments etc, Ford 7 and Johnson 10, Carter 6 w/31 indictments etc.. Truman 2 w/161 resignations. The rest back to the beginning are insignificant numbers and very tough to find with any regularity. The over all criminal elements went to Republican administrations at 97 and for Democrats:::45. Mostly due to the Reagan administration. Bill Clinton rules the roost with 396 pardons, Reagan with 393, George W Bush with 189 and 11 commutes. George H W Bush with 74. At least GW Bush let those convicted serve their sentences before a pardon. He was very careful how he handed them out. Justice in a way at least.

But as it shows, Dems. are king of the scum a-top Capitol Hill.

it's totally disgusting and totally unacceptable and is eactly what Ihave been saying. the republicrats all should be fired and new officials elected.but hey let's keep voting for them I am sure it will change soon. INSANITY!!!!

It's the plight of an independent at best. I have always gotten flak for not taking a stand on one side or the other. Couldn't be more counter productive in any complex society. You know::: also, as my grandmother always said:::"Lu, you'll be the red headed stepchild by either party if you don't join one." I did as she always did, voted via integrity and what's best for 300,000,000 people rather than the tiny group of top money winners. Sadly, that isn't what many think best serves an entire nation rather than that handful.

Like her, I too think it will only change the moment Christ steps foot here again. Then we'll see a "socialized" world the likes of which have never been seen nor imagined. Conservatives? will shudder the thought. She frequently listened to an old 33 record that I remeber one song, House Of Sand I think? I don't recall the artist, some oldie guy from the 60's. But anyway, it was about how all the world will be one community, no more tears, no more greed, all will have their own piece of land and have all they need. Having no more than what we need being the point. Well::: it's like she pounded into us, NO WAY WILL JESUS EVER ALLOW THIS WORLD TO BE RUN AS POLITICIANS AND THOSE THAT LOVE THEM LIKE IT. Never a wiser woman walked this earth in my life. But until that day, we either join the club of lying, greedy, power hungry thieves, NO MATTER the party:::or get trampled under the hooves of the sheep that follow them.

Noah Built his own boat instead if listening to the crowd. We too, all of us still have a chance to step away from those political scummm, dems and repubs and build our own boat. So regardless of the recent jibes, digs and slams I have taken here for refusing to be a republican or a democrat, but Lord help you if you don't vote. That too reminds me of another of grama's saying. "Don't offer a person two poison apples then get mad if he/she won't eat one." Now what makes more sense than that? I learned and understood a long time ago why she was an independent. Unlike some in my own family, I'm proud to follow in those steps.

hi lucy like your style. if you look around though the sheeple are waking up. I myself will never vote for the republicrats, NEVER(ok except for paul [dr. no]).
 It is nice to see that someone else sees that our two party system is in the same boat, does not matter if your are port or starboard, the boat is headed to the same place. you see the beating I get on here, but I say bring it on. I know when I vote I know what my candidate stands for. I check the person out, I don't let the tv and the corporate media make up my mind. it's called propaganda for the two party dictatorship. what will it take for people to get tired of the lies, secrets, corruption and the attack on our liberties. do the bad guys have to come out and confess. C'mon if you don't see what is happening you are asleep. The patriot act, military commission act, fisa, bailouts, scandal after scandal, wars(over pipelines and oil), health-care, general motors, czars(in America is that even in the constitution) and all the other crap they do. C'mon people wake up and smell the socialism cause it is so close!
