Hi JustCSmile

Here here.

If I listed them all, I'd still be typing up thereWink But I whole heartedly agree. It's at least one of the reasons I didn't vote for him. Even though I liked McCain, even he wasn't my first choice. But yup:::experience always laps the green-horn. But I'm willing to give a guy a chance. At this point, the health care issue has stained that chance. Not that there is anything wrong with trying to do something good for our ever increasing uninsured and endless deficit. But what about the unemployed, Health Care after all this time? it was by far the least important issue we face right now. And, the bullheadedness it takes to know that the majority of Americans are against it and keep hammering away at it, doesn't make sense. I would think by now they would get that? No Mr. President, we want to go back to work. A tough job and probably the most thankless at this time, but there has got to be someone there, smart enough to say "HEY, JOBS should be our primary concern."! Bush realized that Americans were not ready to had social security over to bankers and brokers and gave up. Is there still hope? I don't know any longer.

Jobless claims up for another week, as reported this morning, bird? For not voting for him, how much of a chance you gonna give him? Just gonna keep "hoping" like the liberals do?

Hi Big B

It's always good to read your post. They're very interesting to say the least. I find them very hard to debate against. So, I was "hoping", that you could explain this latest point of view of yours. I mean if it's just your newest attempt to insult people, I applaud you... Good job!

However as the best debater ever known, by at least one poster, I have to ask why you've failed to answer the basic question that has been asked of you? Other posters have had little to no problem, but yet you seem to want to stick with the concept of I can call people better names than you.

If I could be so bold to answer the question for you. What is it the Republicans want to do right now to deal with the deficit? The answer: Nothing. They're "hoping" Obama and  the Democrats expand the deficit to levels never known. So much so we see Republicans selling their souls to assist in that effort. What was it, January 28th I believe. A bill before the senate that would have put a ceiling on our national debt. In nicer words, limit spending. How would you think the Republicans voted? You know the guys 100% against spending. Yep! You guessed it. All 40 voted no..... The Senate took a final vote on passing the overall plan. Thirty-nine Republicans voted no. The 40th, Sen. Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), skipped the vote.

So Big B, debate the difference between big spending and refusing to vote against it?

You guys are probably old enough to know who Senator Roger Jepsen was.   The guy who used his credit card to pay an "Escort Service" and lost his next election.   I think to Harkin.

The story is he made a trip to Muscatine in which he talked tax cut, tax cut, tax cut, tax cut etc.   When asked which services he would cut his answer was,"I don't have to do that until next year".   Typical.
