GTA.....no need for all this fussin'. Ol' TP will give up his Wally-world coverage and throw in with the government. He thinks they can do the job. I figure I'll stick with my health plan the way it is. We both get what we want. Problem solved.

Yeah....he should really check into the iowa cares program .....just to get a feel of what government insurance will be like.........and obumbler did say that everyone has to be forced into the insurance in order to keep the prices low.......people automatically believe if u r without insurance that u automatically need the government to step in and make decisions for u.........under iowa cares the state decides if u get a surgery that you may need...case in point a friend of ours is on it , he has a torn rotator cuff...under iowa cares the surgery was DENIED....he is unable to work as he cant even raise his arm......he also has something wrong with his eye that he needs surgery for...again DENIED......under iowa cares the only place u can recieve treatment is at the university of iowa hospital...no where else...u are put on a waiting list for up to 3 or 4 months before u can even get an appointment to see a doctor.....what they dont tell is u that u are FORCED to keep it for 6 months before u can opt out of it.......and no matter what wally world employees may believe ....iowa cares is GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH INSURANCE!.....so being denied surgeries, being forced to remain in it, and being put on waiting lists to get medical care......it maybe the way TP wants it til wally world dumps him into the same sort of thing if obumbler gets his way....but for me i want to be in charge of my health care decisions... |

"it maybe the way TP wants it til wally world dumps him into the same sort of thing if obumbler gets his way....but for me i want to be in charge of my health care decisions..." I can't speak for whally world. I hear people say their insurance coverage is not that good. I don't know. I know my employer pays the majority of my health insurance cost. I'm very thankful for that.....
I can tell you, that if you desire to have some say in your health care needs you may have to get off the couch and do something. A job sponsored health insurance program is the best option, but it doesn't give us free medical service for every whim we think we need. There has to be approvals for any surgeries. |

I think the fairer way would be to cover everything but have a modest co-pay for anything that might be considered optional. That would discourage over-use but still help if you really thought you needed it and the insurance company said you didn't.
