Hi:::R
Yeah I already knew about some of these claims being false and aside of what that person stated, especially the $1.2billion for hydrogen research:::I think he GW:::called it the wave of the future:::I responded to that person, that it was Allen Loyd, not Bush that actually killed the future of electric car. Though Loyd did resign his position in California and take the money for that magical research::: that still has done nothing for our move from oil to hydrogen. Plus I pointed out to him/her that the recent record of hybrid electrics isn't the best. Some of the feelings out there have some foundation, but as always::: seem a bit eschewed. I think the only actual lie would have been the "yellow cake" mess that ended up putting Libby in jail. How rove didn't find his way to striped pajamas is odd. I know I have been harsh with Bush and for the most part I still feel as did most of our planet::: that the man didn't honor the office as he should have. Though I have agreed with many that he was a moron, I do indeed realize that it isn't the case. I wouldn't go so far as to say he was really a genius as he/she thinks. But as I pointed out also to that person, kerry had no better scores than Bush. I got no reply to any of my comments by the way. I do think Gore did have a better test record. I wasn't aware that kennedy wasn't any brighter? As for the AWOL thing, I have no idea. I know my father has said many times that he was indeed by any military standard. I guess that's up to interpretation. But I found it odd he/she didn't mention the free trade deals::: and by God I know those were a disaster for America's workforce.
I read many detailed records of the history of the presidency and even though he didn't achieve the best record and our current economy is a good reflection::: I find he was genuinely in the fight to protect our country and had a good success. I really didn't care about the multitude of claims regarding the justice dept. or the thousands of destroyed emails, or the invasion of privacy issues, or the torture issues. What I always cared most about was the safety of our soldiers and our soil. The rest will just have to be ironed out by historians.

Also, the idea that Bush is stupid/dumb really doesn't hold water. Here's a link to a rather extensive 2004 article exploring some testing scores for Kerry, Bush, and Gore. http://www.vdare.com/sailer/kerry_iq_lower.htm The general conclusion is that it is likely that Bush ranks somewhere between Kerry (lower than Bush) and Gore (higher than Bush) in intelligence. In my research, I found surprisingly that John Kennedy, believe it or not, ranked rather low in intelligence.
I poked around in this for more time than it deserves and concluded you can't conclude anything so I looked at the source, a conservative who writes for The American Conservative and concluded it's meaningless. |
