HiGt Ya get no argument from me there. He's a man without real accomplishment, nor any major fumbles:::YET. The health care mess again stands to be that first major stumble though. As you and others put it, up to congress to draft legislation to create jobs, budgets, tax bills etc. Not the big kahuna. They have done very little::: and agreed also, is that they can only seem to work on entitlements or the same self serving socialistic agenda as before. I'm with you there. But all my "whining" as it were, is that we grumble about the here and now, forgetting the missteps and failing to learn from those gross mistakes that have ditched this country. Much to these fools eventual chagrin, they will likely be tossed out too as a result. You nor anyone else can say that I have given these guys much breathing room due to these idiotic plans to fix health care instead of trying::: with all their might::: to bring our jobs back home. I want all our reps accountable and since you are obviously no dummy, you already know that this horrid mess was crafted several years ago and the worst thing we can do is play the merry-go-round game. So yes, I do agree with the notion(s) that this man hasn't earned any Nobel Prize, nor this congress another shot, unless they get to work on our bigger problems:::Jobs, deficit, consumption, and renewable alternatives. Time is running out not just for them, but perhaps all of us?

Yup Gt Again no argument. I have said repeatedly, that these reps are missing the boat in a huge way. They know where the troubles were dealt, they know how to repeal legislation and they know that Americans are fed up:::Again. It just slays the imagination that we are at or above 15% unemployment but they cannot remove their heads from within their behinds long enough to hear us. I doubt very much that had congress ignored the cries from the oval office to reform health care, and worked on jobs first? He wouldn't sign it as fast as bush signed five free trade deals that hacked away our jobs and tax base. Like you have said repeatedly, congress is the designer, the president seals the deal.
I want better health care for America, heck, who doesn't? But like I have said time and time again:::We need to be working again FIRST. I have answered several pollsters questions in opinion polls, wrote to Harkin and Grassley, and though Reichert can't do much, wrote him too. Even sent a lengthy email to Obama's office(futile) outlining these very same points. I didn't get any :::prize::: for my tireless efforts to spread sense and clarity, much less a response. I also do not feel there is any constitutional support for the plan as I understand it? So understand if you will:::I do not care who's name or what party designation stands atop any legislation or their votes. I, like most of us at least, want what's best for all of America, not the few with the most to gain. Even though we all know who did it and how we were put in this mess, they now have a responsibility to work at fixing that. If these guys and gals cannot do that, they should go. But::: I still think a mere year wouldn't be time enough for any congress to repair all that damage, nor two. So if we see no gain to honestly call gain, then out they go. I blame them all for these "massive porkulous bills" no matter how far back we care to go. If it wasn't Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush,::: it's now Obama. No argument other than to whom these "porkulous bills" did and do benefit the most::: and how many we suffered. But as you'll probably say, it's all bad and leads us down that socialistic slippery slope? We are a week Republic with no money, no jobs and no foreseeable future that didn't get here in a year or two. We are not a democracy nor a socialist or fascist state. But we are racing toward a fruitless Plutonomy as a third world nation, unless these fools get their acts together::: no matter what party any of us enjoy. Heck Gta::: it's why I reply the way I do to the one sided framing of most comments. I hate to argue and try to respect others opinions and believe me or not, I do respect your views as well. And:::regardless of agree or disagree, I'd never tell, ask, or suggest that you or anyone else "sit down and be quiet." Agreed. Lucy |
