I have to admit it is a PITA to deal with the snowplows leavings. I have to ask just what it is you would really accomplish if you "snowballed" the city other than costing a lot of taxpayer dollars. Same for directional plows. How much do YOU want to spend on taxes so none of us suffer any inconvience when it snows? We all want the govt to do more with less and we all want it now and we all want it to benifit us and we all think we are smarter than those that make the decissions. Look I am not saying that either the BOS or Council makies great decissions 100% of the time. I am sugesting  they get it right most of the time while balancing the needs vs the wnats vs the cost to all of us.

The city attorney is already paid to handle such things. It would only be minimal costs (filing fees/costs paid by the city when the claims are approved) to any taxpayers but a BIG message sent.

Secondly...and I was reserving further comment...because they already have some directional plows that are not being used  for what they are designed for. Zero cost to the city.

Opinionated:  I don't think the point of the "snowballing" of the city was to garner money/reimbursement from them.  That may be a result, but I took the post to mean that if they are going to "fine" us for blowing snow into the street, we should "fine" them for plowing snow into our driveways.  I believe the "message", not the money, is the primary motive there.  I'm pretty sure that the reimbursement would be waived if they waive the ridiculous but opportunistic fines for blowing snow into the street.
