A friend of mine once said and I quote " I carry a weapon because I can't carry a cop ". That's kind of the road that I'm leaning towards.

Jbuck.....The process of obtaining a concealed carry permit is fairly simple.  Sign up at the sheriff's office.  The class is only offered once or twice a year.  4 hours of classroom.....very informative and not time wasted.  Then qualify on the range.  Pay a fee, fill out some paperwork, and you're on your way.  Break the rules, even a little bit, and it's gone. 

Yep, just haven't made it down there yet, but will.  But thanks for the info.

I would just offer that people that have been arrested for domestic abuse violations; even if the charges have been reduced or dismissed, still have the personality and opinion of the sheriff to contend with, on deciding who gets a permit.

Anyone here ever been arrested for domestic abuse? Anyone? Buler? Buler? Anyone?
