Heres one for ya.....Meineke out on park ave has oil changes for 9.95  hey it was cheap and they did a much better job than walmart....1 week after the oil change and still no leaks

Do they give you a list of hundreds of dollars worth of stuff that needs to be done to your car when you get that cheap oil change? That's usually what happens and that really ticks me off! Kind of like a form of bait and switch, we'll change your oil for cheap but we'll make you think that your car will fall in a heap if you don't let them do all these high-dollar procedures. We have a family member who checks those things out, but it just tests my patience when they do that! So if meineke doesn't do that I might check that out.

BTW- walmart says they will match sale prices - so I called about oil change match price - well shackman gives me this long song and dance about 'other places' not giving the same quality of oil or service bs and so I said so, basically you don't match a competitor's prices then in your department - and again he kind of starts his song and dance before finally admitting that no, they do not match oil change prices. I chuckled.

actually all they told me was that my fan belt was extremely wore out...which it is and that was it........for that price he said they dont check anything...the worn belt was pretty noticeable....

heres the differences, shackman should have mentioned for the price of walmarts oil change they may or may NOT tighten your drain plug....im assuming thats left up to the techs discretion

and the services your paying for may or may NOT be completed ...for example after my 3 trips back they would not hit the rear grease points on my caddy...the last time out the tech flat out lied and said they did it.....so when it was pulled out of the bay i looked for myself and it had not been touched....

and lastly he forgot to mention that they may or may NOT under inflate your tires.....the tires on my caddy stated on the sidewall that they required 42 lbs of air.....the door of my caddy stated 32lbs....so they let air out to get them down to 32lbs.....for a place that sells tires they should know to check the sidewall......the door sticker is for the tires that came on the car brand new............

and lastly meineke does NOT use pennzoil as its bulk oil......

i also had my s-10 out there and went with a different oil change pkg ......where they check everything and they didnt give me a list of anything wrong.......so my experience with them was good and i will use them in the future......

I went to Meineke for the $9.95 oil change and they told me my car didn't qualify. I asked why and they told me the $9.95 service was just for select cars. Seems like a dishonest form of advertisement to me.

That's just too funny...mr. retail that handles consumers does not know how to be an informed consumer? Then, he tries blaming the business?

The Meineke ad in the online Journal has the qualifiers stated right in the ad!

"Special oils and filters are available at additional cost"

"All offers valid on most cars and light trucks"  How can that be dishonest?

All the weirdmart's online page for Express Lube relates is:
