That is what gripes me about the opponents to this law.  I am racist, when it has nothing to do with race.  I have nothing against catholics or priests.  Nothing, until they start perverting little boys.  I have nothing against people with brown skin who speak Spanish.  Nothing, till they start living outside of the law.  This is not about race.  At least not till a Arizona cops pulls over someone from Canada who has no documentation and lets him go.  Then your racism angle is valid.  It is not about race, rather these people who choose to live outside of the law and impact our society.  That' what it is about.  The law must be equal for EVERYONE.  If I were to go overseas to say Germany or Italy and did not have a passport, or visa, or any documentation, do you think they are going to let me roam around the country free?  Hell no.  It has nothing to do with race.

Oh, that's what it was....

I see you have no counter to my post. Guess my point stands as valid, davie.

Good points, Jeff. Go ahead and leave the country, Jeff....then just try to get back in without your passport through legal channels. It ainta-gonna matter what color you are or what ethnicity you profess....you will just be stuck.

I don't think anyone has called you racist, I know I haven't. Unless you belong to the Tea Party and than there may be a question. SmileJ/K

The law is about race and profiling. You take those two things out of the picture and the law is useless. The law would allow every Spanish speaking, brown skinned person to be detain and question. Would you like me to provide a link that shows how many law abiding, Spanish speaking, brown skinned people will feel the wrath of this law? And that won't even be by the Police.

It's about race.... As I said, would we accept this law put against gun owners? The honest answer is no. Than why here against immigration? I say race.
