Muscatine

Hello everyone.  I am hoping that by joining your group I can have a better insight on the neighborhood.  My husband is from Muscatine and has many relitives there.  We are moving to Muscatine to be closer to family.  I was hoping that someone here would be helpful with finding a house to rent.  I have spoken with an agent at Rulh & Rulh, a few other realtors, two Landlords, and a few family members that are all keeping a look out for a house, but none of them have anything available right now.  I have seen several one and two bedroom homes but we need a three plus bedroom house.  We are planning on moving at the end of August and it is very important to have a house to go to.  I do not want to impose on any of my husbands family.  If any of you know someone who is looking to rent their house, or if you know of someone who can help us, I would be so very greatful. It is hard to go house hunting in a town that is 1600 miles away.  Thank you in advance for any information.  FYI, I look in the Muscatine Journal every day but they are mostly apartments or two bedrooms.  Thanks again. Hello Gina, and welcome to the neighborhood.  You would think with all the construction going on here in Muscatine, there would be offerings for you.  I do know there are a lot of homes for sale in the community, but I do not know how that translates into home rentals. So I apologize on that front I am not able to help you.

However let me say welcome to our little piece of heaven here.  When you do get to town and settled in let us know and we can have a virtual house warming party for you.  We'll fire up the virtual grill and cook up some virtual hot dogs, and everyone here from the neighborhood can bring a virtual dish.  We'll get you introduced to everyone like Drunkenfool,(actually he's harmless, just fun to hang out with.)  You can meet Nigel, Darylmaxen, Hecta, just curious,and Bigbrother, & Truepatriot, (they are on vacation right now) Nedl (be careful of him, he's kind of a lady's man).  You will love to meet Lionjack, Kenn and of course some of the girls, Frazzled, Wroe, Janitor, and Mallory.  Discussions here get lively sometimes and yes we do joke around a bit, but all in all a great bunch of folks.  So once again welcome to the neighborhood and feel free to join in whenever you like.

Thank you for the kind welcome. Your funny.  Anyone that can help us, then that's great, but it is not necessary in order too chat with me.  I love to talk to people.  By the way, I don't think I mentioned where I am moving from.  We currently live in Las Vegas, Nevada.  We have been here for almost 20 years.  My husband and I are 42, we have three children.  25, 22, and 15.  We also have three grandchildren. 6, 4, and almost 5 months. We are sick and tired of this city. We all ready raised two kids here and are close to being done with the third.  There is no way we will continue to have our grandchildren raised here. That is why we need at least a three if not four bedroom.  My son will not be going with us (22 yr old) so there is six of us (seven if you count the baby).  We need a place to start out.  My daughter will want to it a place of her own for her and her kids. It is my hopes that we are able to buy a house in the next year. Thanks again.
