The amendment doesn't increase taxes.   I just says that if some future legislature does increase the sales tax, three eights of one per cent of the increase must go to conseravation.

It's up to you to decide if some future increase should happen.

Are you actually as naive as you appear?

I do have to thank you though, you still give me things to laugh about.

You can talk about who's naive and who's dense all you want but there is nothing in that amendment that raises taxes.

A guy who goes by 'logic" should be able to follow that.

My daughter votes liberal. She also works for the state of Iowa. Now, when we talk politics, I ask how come Culver and Reichert are painting such a rosy picture of what they have done, while she is sitting in my living room drinkning coffee with me on weekdays, on  forced day-off furlough time because they have no money to pay state employees....

Anyone remember the big announcement on the fourth of July holiday that troopers would not be working extended overtime for holiday traffic enforcement like years past? Same thing...

Ask Culver and Reichert why we are losing state services!

Typical whiney conservative, wants all the services but doesn't want to pay for them.

Msmal you certainly ARE dense - read BB's words again. He actually wants to know why you libs keep saying everything is rosy and taking credit for makin it rosy, when indeed state employees are forced to take unpaid days off due to the budget being cut by the esteemed? culver. Now do you understand why we believe that you are dense?

Do you want to highlight the part where he says that?

I read his daughter has been given forced to take a day off from her government job and the state troopers weren't at full force on the Fourth of July.

I interpret this as a complaint (whine) about state services being cut.

And I think we all know BS is not in favor of more taxes.

Culver and Reichert are not painting a rosy picture, about the way things are, they're pointing out how it could have been much worse if they had done nothing.

"Do you want to highlight the part where he says that?" Surely you jest?

Please refer to my earlier post when I stated that msmal is dense.

I rest my case.

This is one more case where you put out a lot of gobbledy gook and when challenged, you realize you can't possibly back it up and make it make sense so you pretend it is perfectly clear and blame the questioner for being dense, ignorant, naive or whatever.
I should give this behavior a name so I don't have to write this out every time.  Let's call it evasion syndrome.

I am willing to pay for them, as I already have...and so have you...but Culver went through the budget (that we all paid for, dummy) and there is nothing left for employees! Hence the furloughs. You just don't get how government works, do ya mallcontent?

Current budgets were paid from revenues in the previous year, brainiac...all they did was waste it....
