Am I reading these stories right? A liberal president, while serving and representing America, prays? Why, heck...liberals should be screaming over the separation of church and state issues! How's this setting with the ACLU?
Your lack of understanding of separation of church and state or prayer by elected officials or the ACLU is deafening. Or maybe it's just that you delight in making things up about liberals that theoretically make them look bad even if only in your mind.
Neither the ACLU nor the constitution is against prayer by an elected official. It's when the government or, perhaps in the case you just mentioned, the President forces you to pray that it becomes a problem.
The ACLU would defend the right of a President to pray in private or in public. So it's setting quite well with all of us.
