Muscatine

The Muscatine Journal published Kauffman's apology for his comments when the mike was on.  Only one thing, when a person makes a joke after the fact its not a joke, he finally is telling the truth.  One thing the three republican legislators indicated in their last forum at the Community College is their willingness to lie.  

Especially the Representative two, Lofgren and Kauffman.  Perhaps the best example is let their actions speak for themselves.  The legislators know that the Union bill is dead on arrival at the Senate, and that it is not a Union Bill at all, its a working by the hour bill which cuts any hourly paid employee.  At many hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars per day, if its dead on arrival, why did they spend the money to bring it up? 

Where are the new jobs Lofgren and Kauffman promised?  Where is the legislation for the new jobs?  What had been introduced for legislation for new jobs?  Would some of you be willing to admit you have been again lied to by Kauffmann and Lofgren?  Does the fact they are Republican's make their lies acceptable?  

Maybe we should start to look for new Legislators already?  Only this time don't let truth embellishers in.

What about biden? he did afterall come out and say that the stimulous failed, before obama muzzled him...so he lies sometimes and tells the truth other times...

15.103 Partnership for economic progress.  1. The partnership for economic progress is hereby created.  The partnership shall serve as an advisory body within state  government and shall function on a continuing basis for the study and recommendation of solutions and policy alternatives  for issues arising in the area of economic development. In  performing such advisory functions, the partnership shall focus on job creation, increasing the income of Iowa families, and on  enlarging the gross state product.

Who was appointed to this committee?  Has anyone been lied to by the originator of this thread? What was that about "truth embellishers"?

Again, the Iowa Legislature is attempting to certify a lie to its voters.   If you want a good example of a Public Private Partnership, take Muscatine.  We have a Development Corporation that gets money from the City, gives a dog and pony show that goes something like "If you cannot dazzle them with brilliance then baffle them with Bull****" How do they present it to the Public?  Inform Muscatine they are concentrating on working with existing manufacturer's and hope to get them to expand, or will recruit the local manufacturers suppliers to open in Muscatine.

If you are so happy with a stock purchase of a company that you decide to purchase stock in all of the companies that are suppliers to that company, and that is your entire portfolio, what happens when the main company gets into a downturn?  You are at risk of loosing your ENTIRE Portfolio.   Do you think for one minute Muscatine Development Corporation would attempt to recruit a company that pays its workers more than what our local employers do?  The Partnership focusing on Job Creation, increasing Incomes, enlarging our gross state product you must ask, what kind of jobs high or low paying.  Increasing Incomes, to the Chairman or President possibly.  To hourly wage earners, not a chance.

Will people like Big Brother, who brings the President onto the discussion, when he has nothing to do with it, or like  our legislators who are masterful at baffling with bull excrement.   Where are the jobs, will Lofgren and Kauffman ever produce any jobs, even though they did in their campaign verbiage, no, but they have been elected, so the we'll get jobs is merely just another lie.
