  I see they have started tearing down the trees for the new tennis complex. Does anyone know if they have checked the tree tops for birds nests? I know for a fact there are tons of  Owls and Hawks in the area they have started in. If I am not mistaken the Hawks are protected. Anyone have any info?

NO I don't know.  I can asked that question to P&R to see what they say on the topic. 

I sent the P&R Director James /Jim Garges a email just now.  I did see a story on the local news yesterday where neighbors were wearing helmets to protect their heads from  Hawks protecting their nest in NC in one neighborhood.   That story said the Hawks could not be disturbed or relocated because that particular one in the story was protected.   So you have asked a very interesting question.  I will share what his response is when I get one.
