You are so right, IMC. Ya gotta watch davie and his knee-jerk posts and take some of them with a grain of salt. Its not the first time he has shown a lack of understanding.

It strikes me that he would hold out for terrorists and POWs and combatants; but yet when he cries that this is not the America he knows; he is oblivious to the fact that the supreme court is legislating again from the bench...an actual defeat of his own rights to have the constitution upheld. Only Congress can make laws!

Interesting...what priorities are to some people. Davie's country has always held POWs to the end of hostilities.

Actually,  shooting them all (the enemy combatants  that is) is not actually a prohibited by the Geneva Convention. The standards given to enemy POW's does not extend to enemy fighters caught in civilian clothes or those not representing a sovereign country. And I would be willing to bet they were all captured wearing civilian clothes. And most were probably hiding in Mosques.

According to the Geneva Convention there are prescribed standards accorded to enemy soldiers. Enemy combatants in civilian clothes may be executed on the spot upon their capture. According to the Geneva Convention.

The Supreme Court is "distinctly American in concept and function. To claim a report of their ruling being knee jerk is almost border line stupidity. True enough the supreme court does not make laws, they enforce them against people who have broken them. Bush in this case.

No, I have never served. Although I have tried to enlist on more then one occation. I have many family members who have served our great country and would take great exception to the words "GET THE HELL OUT". The freedoms in which our brothers and sisters fight for are not conditional on the fact of you liking it.
