Thanks for responding. You can email Dawn at bunniesrfun68@yahoo.com or if you're out and about and in the area, you could drop them at the office at Jefferson School and tell them that they're for Dawn. For those who do want to drop them off and have never been to Jefferson School (when I dropped off hats yesterday, it was the first time I'd ever been there), the office is the first door to the left after you go up the stairs.

As for freecycle.org, it's a great organization! Everything you give has to be free. Also you do need to offer something before you can request something. It's a great way to get rid of good items that you no longer need. Here's the link to the Muscatine group. You do need to have a Yahoo ID to join: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/muscatinefreecycle/

"One example is a woman who who got a star off a tree at the mall and it said "shoes size 6-Nike only".

Maybe the brand was specified because that's the only type of shoes the person can wear. I've tried every brand of shoes made from $10 to $100 and I can't wear anything but one particular style in one particular brand. Everything else hurts. I would love to buy the $10 shoes, but I can't wear them. I stock up when I find the kind I can wear and have several pairs, but I sure don't know what I'll do if they're ever discontinued.

Ther reason many orginazations request new stuff is that they have no way to launder the donated used stuff. You would be suprised at what some folks leave in the name of a "donation." Check with the orginazation before you give and ask if they will accept used stuff. I think both the Salvation Army and Goodwil accept this kind of thing. They have places to launder the stuff. BTW both are gret places to find real good buys sometimes.

Give me a break english teacher. If your feet are cold enough, you can wear anything.

Another example is one year I was working two jobs and barely had the money to buy my 2 boys Christmas presents. I was a single parent. But they still got a few gifts. A person I knew, who was on Welfare had the best Christmas for their kids (toys, clothes, super-ninetendo, etc.). While that parent laid around and didn't work.
