Outstanding!

A soul after my own heart. I must warn you however, my lengthy recollections can get to pages and then some. I do enjoy sharing our/my past especially referencing those of my grandparents, parents. aunts and uncles etc. Even some friends and educators i felt endearing. I have no idea actually as to your age and will likely say some things that you might never have heard of or are confused by. If so just say "HEY WHAT IS THAT"! Lately I have been easily run down and am up periodically, so might be less prolific but still more than happy to wax on. I was a lucky youngun having that kind of access to so much history---- great perspective through the decades. It's just so sad about life that way. It's naturally a progression, where we start out deaf and dumb, unwise and perfectly imperfect. Than one day, we say " NOW I GET IT"! Then POOF. It's all over so rapidly. I understood some time ago what the great philosophers meant finally. Once we finally gain that much perspective, wasting much of our youth, there's not much time to help others gain what we "Fuddy Duddys" have  finally.

Thank you! I am somber just now but will pop back early in the morn. with that anniversary ditty.

God Bless.

Innocentsorry O pie I'm late I wanted to post at midnight but was to busy reading ya alls. Ned you kill me you are one of the funniest people I know!Anyway when my husband and I were just dating or parting  nonstop. I had told him I was born on a  army base and that Tennessee ernie Ford took me on stage and sang 5'2 EYES OF BLUE. He was entertaining there at the time.So like 15yrs later my husband and I used to go up north to like guttenburg and mcGregor trout fishing with some friends who had a permanent spot there at Red Paint. It is only A 2hr drive so one weekend we decided to go up by ourselves. It turned out to rain all weekend so we got a room at A place on the river right downtown Gutenberg. We loved staying there you could eat breakfast at A open air restaurant right on the river it was beautiful up there in the fall.we also could walk downtown right outside from the hotel to all the antique stores and different shops we enjoyed. So that night we thought we would walk down to the local bars and have some drinks.we didn't have to worry about getting picked up if we walked,We ended up at A little place that was going to have A band. When the band showed up there were like 4 of them and quite old.We said this ought to be good and it ended up they played Big band music which I loved used to dance with my grandma to it when I was A young girl. They were very surprisingly good.About half way threw the night I had went to the ladies room and when I CAME OUT EVERYONE WAS LOOKING AT ME.I asked my husband do I have toilet paper hanging or something, just about that time they started playing 5'2.I Had no idea he even remembered I told him that. I thought it was the sweetest thing in the world, now its 15 yrs later need I say more.  lolLaughing

Good Morning Wroe!

What a those precious moments can do for our hearts is just wonderful. Your husband sounds just the kind of man every woman should have. I have never been in that area, not at least to fish as it were, but sure do love those Fall colors from all over the country. MR FORD. Somewhere here we have a couple old records of his, a gospel and of course who could forget "5 foot two" and "16 tons"? Artie Shaw, Boots Randolph, Bill Justice, and the list goes on. Don't you just love those days when from nearly every radio came the sounds of Brass bands, Horns and THAT MIGHTY PIPE ORGAN! Then Swing blasted onto the air waves. Every chance we get we dig into the 78s' and fade back to those warm melancholy nights before Elvis and Rock-A-Billy. It's comical, our daughter gave us a CD multi-player a couple years ago for herfather's birthday. I think the only disc it has ever played was The Sound Of Music, once. Other than the radio that is. If I may? where did you spend your honeymoon? Ours was a weekend away in Martin's uncles cabin/hooch-house. But what a romantic weekend it was. That is if you can ignore old copper pots, mash ala-fragrance and the occasional opossum dropping by for some scraps. But it was just us, you know/ Nothing but the chirps of crickets, tree-frogs and nocturnal critters searching for freebies. Oh yeah, we had a few of those kinds in the family. Hated to conform or use a bank now and then.

"15 years later" I hope you and your husband go all the way together, and get to do it again in another 15 years----- and another. Of course by then who knows if anyone will even know who Tennessee- Ernie Ford was.

God Bless.

I live for it and good at it.30 yrs of practice I should be!Really he's great from what I see all around me.Women have become wimps from a lot of what I see.they don't make em like they used to.It seems like the single women that want someone in there life and would be a good wife get losers and good guys get bad girls.I tell the girls don't settle for less then what you really want and besides that ya don't have to have one. Get educated so you can fend for yourself. he will find you when its right.there's nothing better in life then LOVE REAL LOVE! everyone should have it at least once.  oh yea its beautiful up north and shopping is great too if you like antiques. its A nice road trip for a nice day of shopping too. With the girls. well have A nice day!
