The best you guys can do is a fictitious story about a college class and a bunch of "I heards." Just like the Repubs in congress, you guys don't have anything substantial to offer. It's nothing but a bunch of empty BS about socialism and values. It's no wonder your party is in the minority. When you've got nothing to offer, the people have no reason to vote for you.

I see you can't (or refuse) answer any of the questions I asked, gta1. So allow me to answer them for you.

Q. - Why should a person's access to quality health care (and therefore their chances of living a long and productive life) be determined by the size of their pocketbook?

A. - It shouldn't.

Q. - Is a poor man's life worth less than a rich man's?

A. - No

Q. - Is the life of an unemployed person not as important as a the life of a person has a job that provides benefits?

A. - No

You also failed to explain what rights I'll be losing so I'll assume that means you just made that up.

Additionally, you failed to deny that you would have accepted public insurance if given the option when your son was born so I'll assume that means you would have.

I will give you credit for one thing, though, gta1. You are right when you say "our parents had different values." Mine raised to me to give a damn about someone other than myself.

Mine taught me to do for myself haysus.....by your admission yours taught you to rely on the government.....big difference........the more you rely on the government, the more they provide for you the more money they have to remove from your wallet....there are already social programs out there to help with medical expenses and you want more haysus....what happens when they tax the rich to death? would it be fair to say jobs will start disappearing? Jobs are created when the rich invest thier money in buisiness' and company expansion....but nobama and the socialist dems wanna keep taking more and more of thier hard earned cash.....by the way why not read up on the socialized medicine in other countries that spur huge taxes on everyone and bankrupt the countries....medicare and medicaid are already bankrupting the u.s.....so this 3rd plan will do the same...and haysus you want the freebie government insurance paid for by the wealthy...why the hell cant you just do something for yourself instead of relying on the government......i go to work everyday, i pay my bills , i rely on me NOT the government...i'm not looking for the free ride that you are....you said you would dump your coverage and take the government insurance in a heartbeat......so if ya want the free ride then take it.....i will stick with what i have ,,,,

I'm not certain that we can believe all the stats we hear on TV, but I'm hearing that currently we have 46 million people without medical coverage - not sure if that figure includes illegal immigrants. Of course many of that number probably includes them.

I am hearing that if/when O gets his healthcare bill approved there will still be 33 million persons uninsured and that 'the plan' will cost us over a Trillion bucks - so we would now cover healthcare for 13 million persons for the tidy sum of over a
Trillion bucks. Not sure this is the most cost-effective plan.

NO ONE wants anyone to be without healthcare, but this proposed plan does not fit the bill.

Let's work on something that works for more people since it is going to cost us an arm and a leg no matter what.
