ummmm haysus...didnt nobama take over the banking industry.........

No, he put government money into the banking industry to keep it afloat until they could pay it back.

.....the auto industry and fire the ceo of GM........

Again, he put government money into the auto industry to keep it from going under thereby retaining thousands of jobs (for a while longer, anyway) that would have been lost if the companies had collapsed. And are you arguing that the ceo who ran GM into the ground shouldn't have lost his job?

...and isnt he making a push to take over healthcare?

Take over? No. We've had this conversation before.

JOS: And anyone else who is swayed by his latest "acorn" nut rant, read this article from early 2008 (just when acorn was coming out of the shadows after the election):

OMG, hiroad! You found an opinion piece by a conservative writer in a conservative publication that agrees with you. It must have taken hours of research to find something so chock full of incendiary language yet completely fact free.

Unfortunately, it's this type of bs that passes for journalism these days. Between the Hannitys, the Limbaughs, the O'Reillys, the Matthews and the Olbermans, people everywhere seem to think that if they can manage to get two or three people together who agree on something then it must be a fact. Sorry hiroad, but your article is nothing more than a screed from someone who doesn't approve of ACORN.

and this:

Again... stunning. The Employment Policies Institute doesn't like ACORN. Not surprising considering EPI has fought for years against the very things ACORN has fought for: raising minimum wage, unionizing workers, etc. I guess that shouldn't be shocking considering EPI is owned by Rick Berman of Berman & Co. a lobbying firm for restaurant, hotel, alcohol and tobacco industries. Besides, the law suit that former "field director Mac Stuart" filed against ACORN was thrown out by a US District court who claimed it "amounted to defamation."

Oh my JOS, defending ACORN?  I honestly expected better from you.  You say that because nobody heard of the organization a few years ago, we shouldn't be concerned about it now?  That's ridiculous.  We should be finding out as much as we can about these crooks, and all of the other crooks that take tax money and misuse it to their own political ends.

You're misreading what I'm saying, daryl. I'm not saying don't investigate because nobody had heard of them. I'm saying that the only reason they're under scrutiny now is because of politics. Had Obama not worked for them, they'd still be unheard of.

The arguement that if Obama were a Republican that conservatives would love the guy....equally ludicrous. It's his policies, his beliefs, and his questionable actions that are so disliked.

Obviously his policies were not what I was talking about. I was referring to his backstory. If his policies agreed with yours you'd love the guy and conservatives would trumpet his story as an example of what hard work can do.

Quite simply, you also can't prove that the employees DIDN'T act at the behest of their superiors.

And thanks to the genius of our forefathers, I don't have to. The burden isn't on the accused to prove their innocence. Only in hiroad's "socialist/communist" fantasies is that the case.

JOS has seemingly fallen into the trap of basin all judgement on politics.

Actually, Nigel, that's what I've been arguing against. If ACORN has done something wrong then there should be proof of it. And if it bears out then I say run 'em out of town. But right now it all looks like sour grapes politickin' because ACORN's guy won and the ACORN critics' guy took a beatin'.
