Ok heard something scary today.....a reporter asked pelosi if it were true that if u do NOT buy insurance u could end up in jail.........and she actually answered that yes if u dont buy insurance u could end up in jail.....and the reporter in disbelief asked again if she were serious...and again she said yes.........beware if u cant afford insurance u could end up in jail...with a 250, 000.00 dollar fine as well.....if u had 250k to start with you probably could afford it.....lets hope this crap dont get passed, and pelosi and dems lose thier seats in the next election

I can't think of anyone who believes that our healthcare system is PERFECT, but why don't we work on the imperfect parts before we adopt some two thousand page bill that no one REALLY understands.

The fraud in Medicare& Medicaid has been going on for decades. Why don't we fix it? Good question! Why didn't we fix Fannie & Freddie? Because no one believed that there were problems and/or they were receiving kickbacks and wouldn't let any efforts to 'do something' to get out of a committee.

So what could be wrong with letting Iowans purchase health insurance from say New Mexico? or any other state? If they can get a better plan for themselves or family -go for it! But that's not possible now or in the two thousand page bill.

Should we allow unlimited lawsuits against the medical profession so that they are forced to do every test available so they won't get sued and their malpractice insurance rates go even higher? So if they have to pay high premiums where do you think they get the money to pay those high premiums - you got it -by charging patients more and more and more.

Perhaps we should try some of these things before we throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Well, no one really wants to admit what is really going on.

All this is not about health care, or the cost of health care.

It is only about POWER!   This is a calculated effort to garner and lock in power for the Democrat party.  They could give a rat's butt about any of our health care or our finances.  They only care about votes and how to lock in power.  They don't really even care about the next election so much.  Once they are able to get the majority of our citizens dependent on some form of welfare, then they believe we will be forced to vote for them because they hold the key to the entitlement vault.

Only when it is too late will people suddenly wake up and realize what is happening.  Like sheep to the slaughter.  

hiroad you hit it on the head POWER!!!!  corporatism is the problem. the lack of competition. capitalism is the cure. break the hold of corporations like big pharma and the insurance giants. send our good paying, good benefits and retirement over seas. create all these socialist programs, new deal, social security, medicaid and medicare, hand out here and handout there. what do you think the end game is a free and democratic country or a communist police state. and you keep voting the same people into office and expect a change! insanity!!! do not vote for people who vote against the constitution, grassley, harkin, obama, clintons, bushes, etc., etc. all you people that believe what you hear about these people on tv and then vote for them, are why we are where we are at! freedom is a duty not to be taken lightly, you have to earn it and maintain it. we must watch the people we elect and rid us of the bad ones. stop watching the corporate media. check out the guy(or gal) you plan to vote for!!!!!
