No, gta1, this is where I think a lot of people misunderstand. I don't believe Al Gore, I believe the science. Gore is simply the most publicly visible proponent. The science, however, is sound. The vast majority of the criticisms here have centered on Gore not the science. It's a case of attacking the messenger. If you want to convince me, disprove the science with something reputable and recent.

Actually, the nub of the problem is that too many are trying to obfuscate the difference between naturally occurring climate cycles and man-made interference with said cycles. Keeping that in mind:

1. If we take the proper actions we can hopefully return to the naturally occurring climate cycles.

Because you don't let the kids sit at the grown up table. You can end up a potential player in a media circus. It's the same reason Bush wouldn't meet with Cindy Sheehan. You don't want to lend credence to something that isn't deserving.

Global climate change isn't about one or two seasons, much like data analysis isn't about one or two points on a graph, but it's about an overall trend. Every study has anomalies in the data. If we only looked at anomalies, one could make the argument for warming by looking at the weather the last couple of days when it should have been snowing but instead was raining. Obviously if the recent anomalies become the norm then the skeptics will have a legitimate case. As gta1 said, "i guess time will tell."

nice, what media circus, it's a debate between the pro-global warming and anti-global warming scientist not a president and a concerned citizen talking over foriegn policy, never said a televised debate.

last but not least I created the internet , lol!

 but to me the real danger for the planet is not climate but pollution. here are some links that show how bad it is getting. rivers and oceans are severely effected. there are rivers in china that have changed colors, that have no fish, that you can smell and that are unsafe for humans. there is one in hawaii, it has signs stating it is not safe to drink or consume the marine life due to pollution.
