Mother Nature is a fickle lady, she didn't plan on our 200 years of smoke stacks and tail pipes in her rolls of the dice.

except we havent had 200 years of smoke stacks and tail pipes..........

last night i was watching a show ......the host said he had a report about global warming that backed up everything al gore said....he presented the facts....rocks where huge glaciers had been.....now for the kicker....the report and the disappearance of all the ice....was in 1929...80 years ago.......its a cycle and thats it....

Sounds like a few people here want me to foot the bill for their belief in a fairy tale.

Say, I've got this swamp in Florida that I'd like to buy, but can't afford.  Could you guys open your hearts and wallets....?

Hello DarylmaxenSmile

Pleased to write with you.

It's understandable that we flip back and forth regarding this issue. Well some do anyway. But again the key word still tends to be "global." Cycles, and such a small space in time humans have occupied this earth cannot truly clue us in on what might be happening. Still records show those incremental changes that do indeed indicate, Gobally, we are wraming up. As I noted and can only read about, these short seven to ten year cycles we see are obvious. But like so many here have seen as well, I don't want us, the USA to foot the bill for any changes the rest of the world is as guilty of needing to commit to also. You want fresh powder, LOL?  I will never foregt those bush burying, bark splitting winters up north. But too, it's so hard to see any real affects locally, here or there when the science is derived from every continent and country all over our world. I heard the record low for this day, this area, was much colder than today in like 1961, the record high was really high back in like 1910. So yup, I see why we just have a hard time buying the reports from all the different sources of info.

I personally worry more about fresh clean water, tainted foods, the high prices of everything we must have to survive. Corporate profits are astronomically huge as they kill our jobs thus not returning much if any of those profits back into our economy. Jobs are being tossed like bad salad while corporations close our factories and outsource those goods they want us to keep buying, so nearly everything is made in another country. If global warming is really an issue or not, it scares me much less than how we are going to get by if things don't get beter and soon. Not a bash to the current people in charge or the last ones, so please don't think I'm on one side or the other, just noting the obvious. Don't have a clue how to fix it, but I feel the effects each time I fill my tank, buy food, or pay the light bill, or have to see a doctor or get medication. I have seen these worse changes for several years now.

Lucy.

Hey Nigel....for the benefit of this worried person, could you possibly, along with the swampland, throw in a couple of umbrellas to keep the sky from falling on her head?
