Interesting stories, fellas.

As for me....took a family trip West in 1975.  After much driving, rolled into Golden Colorado, spotting the glorious Coors Brewery and readying my myself for a few well-deserved free samples.  Walked up to the gate, and only then realized it was closed.....Sunday.  In the picture of me and the wife, you can spot a small tear on my cheek.

Later in the trip, managed to score some 16 ounce Banquet Beers, and brought home enough to last me quite a while.

It would appear, after reading page 2 of tonights journal, that many of our generation are seeking a more "herbal" home remedy.

Hi LionJSmile

When I use to imbibe::: Just loved Miller Light and tossed a thimble of salt to soften the bite. Yes, I know it's a girl thing, but when the fizz died away, it was sooo good. But these days meds. negate any alcohol. My dad drank Olympia way back. Hestill has some old cans of beer still full somewhere:::Buckhorn rings a bell too. I never had any Coors though, but still love Smokey And The Bandit.

Started my drinking career at about age 5 or 6 with Blackhawk beer. Later drank my share of Grainbelt, Picketts, Falstaff, Drewrys, Schlitz etc.

When I was collecting Japanese military items it seemed natural to me to drink Saporo. Not bad either.
