No it is a label used to silence people who are not in favor of it. Just as racist is bandied about to people who don't support Obama. Sure there are some racist and some homophobes in the world and society looks down on them for being as such. Knowing this to be the case people like to throw a blanket over anyone with a dissenting opinion in an attempt to discredit them or shut them up.

Hi HetchaSmile

First time I've seen or talked to you:::Agreed. There is usually a multi angled perspective, and for me at least, the best way to deal with it is to just accept that they are who they are, and try not to hate or remain blinded or one sided. There's two poles, and night to day, there's an opposite to every reaction or stimulus. So ultimately, if we just be ourselves remaining centralized and accept that others are who they are::: well what a peaceful world this could be.

Now that we know what you think, malcontent....go ahead and tell us all who it is that does all the hate-teaching you allude to in your most-definitive post, will ya? That way, we will be able to short circuit that teaching and correct the world as you would have it.

I didn't say it was all hate.   There are plenty of ways to make people's lives miserable without hating them.   Deny them employment, deny them housing, deny them membership in church, deny them marriage etc. etc. etc.

The names of some who preach or preached hate, Fred Phelps and Jerry Falwell.   I'm sure I or you or anyone can find many more without too much effort.

So, go ahead and short circuit Fred Phelps.   It would be a great public service.

It's a little late for Jerry Falwell himself but he taught plenty of others to take up his cause.
