We are discussing homophobia.

And a good job you all were doing.

Before we can intelligently discuss something, we have to define our terms:

"Ho·mo

/ˈhoʊmoʊ/ Show Spelled[hoh-moh] Show IPA
–noun 1.
(italics) the genus of bipedal primates that includes modern humans and several extinct forms, distinguished by their large brains and a dependence upon tools.Compare archaic Homo.
2.
Informal. (sometimes lowercase) a.
a member of the genus Homo.
b.
the species Homo sapiens or one of its members.

Origin:
1590–1600; < L homō man; OL hemō the earthly one (see humus); akin to L hūmānus human; c. OE guma, OIr duine, Welsh dyn man, Lith ??mónės men

homo-

a combining form appearing in loanwords from Greek, where it meant “same” (homology); on this model, used in the formation of compound words (homomorphic).
Also, especially before a vowel, hom-.

Origin:
< Gk, comb. form of homós one and the same; akin

pho·bi·a

/ˈfoʊbiə/ Show Spelled[foh-bee-uh] Show IPA
–noun a persistent, irrational fear of a specific object, activity, or situation that leads to a compelling desire to avoid it.

Definition

By Mayo Clinic staff

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism."

Now that that's out of the way, in my opinion, in order to be truly homophobic, one must have an irrational fear of homos.  Possibly an irrational fear of just male homosexuality?

Also, in my opinion, homosexuality is a narcissistic personality disorder.

Uh-oh, looks like the Mallbird and TP forgot that they can't decide what is discussed here.  Discussion can go any direction, and they don't get to say which way.  Kind of the same thing that got that other fellow tossed off this forum a while back, eh TP?  He had the same problem.

Reminds me of one of the differences between liberals and conservatives.  A conservative who doesn't like guns doesn't buy one.  A liberal who doesn't like guns want them banned. And a conservative who doesn't like to eat meat just orders a salad, while the liberal wants meat products eliminated for everyone.
