The best thing the feds can do to help "fix" the economy is get out of the way and quit meddling.   The people that Obama have working for him, and the Obumbler himself, have absolutely no commercial or business experience.  How do you expect these pin heads to do anything to help the economy?

Hi All!Smile

Little BabyB has been up north there for a couple weeks settin up the new digs and spendin a few days in the hospital. But for a little while still::: we'll be around. Glad to be moving but sorta miss this place already too.

Well well, I see the changes have been few::: but to get a handle on this economic and political mess we must first show we have learned some lessons from the past. Slowly if at all, this crew shows little reversal of the legislation of the past decade to do that. But just as it took that long to destroy our economy, it will take some time to turn things around. True Obama hasn't a great deal of experience but most of what the guy ahead of him had was poor at best. Thus too we can measure just how good that really was by the mess this guy Obama took over. Look at how much experience all those in the Bush camp had and how badly we ended up just before the end of their reign. So I don't see experience as a huge plus here either way. If brains had anything to do with it:::well that's easy. Too::: you don't have to be a moron to screw things up::: just act like one, and then tell the rest of us to just get use to it. Of course the great "decider" denied anything was wrong until they couldn't hide it any longer either. So even though we know things really are not better, at least Obama isn't looking into the camera and saying: "The core of the economy is strong."

It's safe to recognize that no matter how bad things are, the shelves will need restocking, things will have to be bought and resupplied from time to time. So naturally orders and such will keep poppin up to give signs of improvement, no matter what the status actually is. But the jobless numbers are still amazingly high and the temps are out in full force taking what they can get. Plus we are a social group that grasps at, and enhances any little bit of bright news to lift our spirits. But the cost of living is still ridiculous, the profiteers are still relentless, the corporations are still leaving with our jobs:::legislators are not repealing the causes of all this mess, and "WE" still pay the price. This economic machine of ours is a huge contraption and it's wheels take a long time to turn, so it will take the right amount of energy and some time to get them rolling again after what the Bush years did to it. Like it or not, it's true and we all know it. If the shoe was on the other foot, we would be saying the same thing about Obama's crew.

Lucy.

Mr. Opinionated - I think I have been very respectful here. I've called no names as you see the people doing in which I respond. Maybe your scoldings can be more appropriately directed?

As for what I've posted here.... It's just a report of the facts. Business sales have increased for the 3rd straight month. Companies are starting to buy more. These are facts you can not change. You can, and do, spin the news to fit a doom & gloom agenda by stating it's still less than before. This is not the point. The point was simply things are improving. Now with luck, because I truly believe that's what it takes, we in the future will pass sales prior to Bush and Obama running things in the ground. This is my hope. I'd rather focus in that direction than to simply and continually say things suck.

As for fixing the economy? If you believe the economy runs on a cycle than there is no fixing it. We simply wait. If you believe things need to be done to lesson the blow of a bad economy than it becomes you that needs to list the steps that have not been done.

Try reading what opie posted again, davie. He never posted anything about you calling anyone names! Why did you bring that up? Guilty conscience I see!

You calling something you posted "facts" is one of the grandest lies ever. Who are you trying to fool, davie?

BTW...it is "lessen"; not "lesson". Isn't this fun?

Try reading what I wrote. Where did I say I called anyone names? (or davie for that matter)

I was asked not to attack. I pointed out I was being respectful and provided the proof. It's called discussion, in case you're confused.
