Looks like our former city administrator tried to jump on the red light camera band wagon to. Fortunately for the people of Urbandale their city council shot him down, wish our council would of had the same intestinal fortitude to do the same.

I guess Urbandale doesn't need the extra revenue like Muscatine. They probably have a full police force and a gangs unit still intact. Why don't they put the cameras in high gang activivty areas to see if they can catch some of the gang activity. |

It seems to me that the shooting is consistantly one sided, with a chance that an innocent bystander getting hit. That being said, maybe more citizens ought to start packing as well. My best guess is that you aren't going to shoot at me if there is a chance that I'll shoot back. Just a thought..... |
