Arizona immigration

I'm worried for the rights of the people, but where was the Tea Party crowd? Isn't the whole premise of the Tea Party movement that overreaching government poses a grave threat to individual freedom? It seems to me that a law allowing individuals to be detained and interrogated on a whim -- and requiring legal residents to carry identification documents, as in a police state -- would send the Tea Partyers into apoplexy. Or is there some kind of exception if the people whose freedoms are being taken away happen to have brown skin and might speak Spanish?

I see Jeb Bush opposes it.   I believe his wife is hispanic as if that should be a factor.   No word yet on W.

davie; You are worried for the rights of people, but until nobama signed the healthcare bill into law, people had the right to NOT have mandatory health insurance. You can't have it both ways. You defended that healthcare law, if I remember correctly.

What you libs don't seem to get...is that the Arizona law must be implemented upon "probable cause"....not "on a whim" as you and other liberals try to scare people with.

On a whim...does not get it and never has under any law in the US.  I thought you posted you had some legal training/experience/know-how? Obviously not with this very post.

BTW, davie...the Arizona law is a state law....nobama's insurance law is a federal law that affects eveyone in the US in a more-broad fashion. You should be wise enough to know the difference .
