Questions: 1. Where does this come from? 2. What is meant by gun control? Registration? Confiscation? Limits on numbers? Limits on types? Limits on clip size? Storage requirements? License fees? Restrictions on who can own them? I doubt all the countries you mention had the same controls. 3. Can anybody possibly defend all the assertions made?
MD Can you respond to any of this? I don't agree with a lot of the dates or number of deaths quoted. I think a lot was just made up.

I looked up some statistics. The following is homicides per 100,000 population.
Colombia 61.8 South Africa 49.6 U. S. 4.28 Romania 2.50 Portugal 2.34 Hungary 2.04 Czech Rep. 1.69 France 1.73 U. K. 1.41 Italy 1.28 Spain 1.22 Germany 1.16 Denmark 1.06 Switzerland 0.92
I think the big headline is a lie and the finer print is misleading and in error. You'll note the U. S. is three times as bad as the U. K.
