Muscatine

I am not a going-out-for-breakfast type of person, so I was surprised this am to see that Country Kitchen is closed and for rent/sale. When did this occur? I go to the bank right there but usually turn the other way but this morning drove past there.

Also, does anyone know what the problem was at the by-pass and Mulberry late yesterday afternoon? HUGE traffic jam - no cars going west/south. I made a u-turn and went back to Tipton Rd to Mulberry - bumper-to-bumper traffic on Mulberry both ways. Our trusty Muscatine Journal had no clues as to what was going on -I know - big surprise.

Heard CK was closing by the end of the month. I did see the For sale/Lease sign there the other day when I wasn't going to Walmart. Sure aren't that many places to eat better food in town anymore. Fast junk is everywhere, though.

Never heard anything on the traffic issue either. Maybe mallory can call one of her Democrat city council members to find out and then post it here for us diconnected folks.
