would it not be better said that muscatine can't keep the small, local business because all the corporate shops ran them out of business. soon they will be the only shops. kool huh! remember when most of the stores were local. when you need shoes you went to a local shoe shop, when you needed meat it was the meat market, needed some clothes you went to a clothes shop, and when you needed hardware you went to a hardware shop. remember the corner stores/ma and pa, liquor stores,  gas station/service stations and auto parts store where clerks knew about cars and used only books. man now we can just go to wally world and get all the china made crap we want at one store kool huh. remember when we was the manufacturing giants! what happened, where have they all gone, how did this happen and can it be reversed!!!!!!!!

Yes, I had heard sometime ago that C.K. was closing.  Didn't surprise me a bit.  What did surprise me was that it stayed open as long as it did considering how horrible the food was.  Accident at Mulberry & Bypass involved a minivan and a semi tractor trailer.  The simi was north bound and the southbound minivan with several occupants had turned onto Mulberry in front of the semi.  The resulting collision completely destroyed the van and sent the truck to within inches of the pond behind the gas station.  The trailer appeared to be empty but the driver's trousers were fully loaded!  Five will get you ten that the van driver was "distracted".

Are there any women left out there who DON'T use a cell-phone while driving?

Better than what? No sarcasm intended.
