I just discovered a statement by Bernie Sanders where he says the 400 richest families in the U. S. increased their wealth be $400 billion during the Bush years.
I make no claims for accuracy but it is a nice set of numbers and easily remembered.
They're now worth $1.27 trillion.
So tell me why I should believe anything that bernie sanders states? And if it isn't accurate, why would anyone want to remember a "nice set of numbers" that you or anyone else knows where they come from?
You don't have to believe anything. You can go to Forbes and get a list of the 400 richest Americans and compare. I expect Bernie did somehing like that. Looks like they add up to about $1.27 trillion to me. Tell me if I'm wrong
And Mal, do you suppose the kerry's of mass, who chose to avoid paying some half million in taxes for their yacht, are one of those 400 richest families in the US?
I skimmed through the list and didn't find him or his wife. Number 399 was worth $950,000,000. I think the Kerrys are below that.
He is paying the sales tax to Massachusetts on his boat even though he doesn't have to. Why should he?
Rhode Island cuts taxes to attract rich people and he takes them up on it.
