Where do you suppose that 1.27 trillion resides? In what form?
If taken from the present owners and distributed equally between each citizen in the U.S., each of us would get about $1000.
How would you feel about that? I mean, getting $1000 free (that belongs to someone else)?
I don't expect to divide it up. But they could pay a little more for the upkeep around here and contribute a little more to the government that makes it possible for them to become wealthy. Support the troops.
This last statement is directly opposed to the last page when you said that kerry was paying sales tax to mass even tho he doesn't have to and that RI has lower taxes to attract richer folks. So now the richest 400 should pay even MORE of their EARNED money to the govt that only spends taxpayers money and as recently displayed, often spends that money contrary to those taxpayers wishes (bailouts, healthcare).
So, let me figure out what you are saying - that it is ok for kerry to evade paying sales taxes to the state in which he resides, represents the citizens/taxpayers, because - because why? Yet the richest 400 should be willing to pony up their money to an entity that has tried it's darnedest to regulate how much money they can earn and this same entity has chosen to ignore massive wrongdoings by its own - fannie & freddie.
How do you make all of this ok in your brain?
