Okay, and before anybody thinks that I'm complaining about all the political stuff going on here, I'm not.  Just saying, it's not my thing.

See. That's a start. I hate the endless political posts too. If you try to start other threads, they get ignored. I know, no one can respond to every thread or post. But, the reason there is little else but political threads is because no one responds to much else.

Okay, I'll admit it, i stop in here and skim through the posts almost daily.  I just don't have any interest in participating in a discussion about politics.  The problem is, I just can't think of anything to start a new thread about.  I thought about starting one yesterday just so I could complain about the guy at the grocery store that was perfectly content to let his 3 little boys run around like maniacs screaming at the top of their lungs, but honestly, who would want to reply to someone aimlessly complaining??  Maybe this is the problem.  The people who don't want to talk about politics can't think of anything better to post.

Speaking of grocery stores, when I still had a car I used to shop at a certain supermarket. One check out clerk liked to comment about items she was scanning. That used to irritate the hell outa me. I seriously considered throwing an arm load of condoms in my cart, just to see her reaction.

TLOU;

You joined this site in April of 2006. I joined this site in August of 2002 when I found I could discuss politics on a regional message board site based around my home community.

I have always discussed politics since day-one; as well as many other things over the years. You chose to exercise free-will and join here...and you exercised it again when YOU decided not to post for a certain length of time. You exercised it again when visiting today. You complain about 3-4 people "giving their point of view about where the world is going"? I, in turn, see "shared feelings, jokes, and people getting to know their neighbors" all over this site.

Everyone posting here or not, has the same free-will you enjoy. Should the rest of us here complain about your lack of posts regarding shared feelings, or the lack of your jokes, or the lack of you getting to know new neighbors here who have joined since you chose to not post for a while? What credibility are we to give your opinion, if your opinion is based on a single-day snapshot in time of this site? If you want to see what you claim is missing from this site...then have at it and exercise your own free-will and make those posts.

I'll never understand someone being absent from this site, only to return occasionally and complain about what is not being discussed. It's your site too!

TLOU...your posts today sort of reminds me of our newer poster mallory; who vehemently complained about the entertainer Rush Limbaugh....and then admitted here that she only listens to him less than 15 minutes every two weeks....
