It says alot about Mr. TP that he considers this a "trivial" point.

Do you not think the point is "trivial"? "A lot" of people do. It's for sure it's not worth the drama of a patriot's military service. The sky is not falling and the world will not end with every word uttered in our forum.

Nigel.....you are dead on target.  It is sad to see that somebody who enjoys the freedoms our country offers is ignorant to the thought that military service is indeed all about allegiance to that symbol of all our nation is supposed to stand for.

Would standing and saluting to our flag be included in this quote.?  To  respect our flag by saluting to  it,  to me is saluting all the veterans past and present  who protect/protected  it.  At least respect that if not the act.
