I will not believe that our troops want us to be held hostage to some idiot's threat.  Maybe it's a good thing to "flush out" the sympathizers.  I'd say lets' deal with them now while they are frothing at the mouth.   The ones that might turn active would have done it anyway.  It's part of their culture.  I talked several times with someone who lived in the middle east in the 1960's.  The same kind of threats were encountered then.  None of this is new.  And they don't need any excuse for their hatred of "infidels".  All this baloney about "peaceful" muslims, is just that, baloney.  Read the Koran.  Watch Al Jazeera.  You will see that most of them sympathize with the nut jobs because their religion teaches violence.  The Imams and their leaders call for violence to be perpetrated on Westerners.  You really don't see a lot of them condeming that do you.  They are afraid to, and in their hearts they agree with it.
