There was no "battlefield" at the time of the embassy bombings. The Bush wars didn't start until three years later.
They should be tried in military tribunals as originally planned. Duuuuuhhhhh
Neither of us know what the original plan was. The military plan wasn't announced until long after the event.

I'm not willing to throw out our bill of rights and our constitution to get a few more convictions or a longer sentence. Apparently you are. Twenty years to life seems adequate. The judge will probably go far beyond twenty years. They may have gotten more if some of the testimony wasn't thrown out because it was obtained by torture. |
