Afternoon folks,
For the second time in our participation among this group of minds, Martin(Mr.) has chimed in here. He agrees with those who fear the loss of some of the strengths of the 2nd Amendment. Though the Supreme Court did recently reaffirm it's validity, thus making it EXTREMELY difficult for our newly elected (marginally)Democratic Congress or President Elect to seriously alter that position, making it a long four year battle in court while "we the people" keep arming ourselves. Too bad for those "Gun Grabbers." However, if you look at the manner in which "we"(not all) value our personal protections and right to eat wild animals or look at their dried heads on "Our" walls, the economy tends to control what level of protections or wild food we are willing to spring for. Like one old timer we played Canasta with always said: " When things get tough, ya sell stuff ya don't need. Ya can't eat them or drive them to work, so lotsa folk sell em."(guns).
But let me not be vague, being an independant, I will always become ill at my leader's missdeads regardless of party. My family WILL ALWAYS support the constitution, be that you have the constitutional right to call me an "old windbag," splatter poop on a canvas, paint your car in pink spots, or vote for "Mikey Mouse".We were guaranteed the right to "Possess and Bare Arms" and once our president and representatives take that oath to protect uphold and defend OUR CONSTITUTION, then BY GOD they had best leave that most important document alone. Unlike Clinton did, while signing a weapons ban. I hope Obama has found a way to rid himself of that temptation.
Live Free or die? Nope, just live free and enjoy the protections we were given in 1776.
God Bless
