Miss Iowa, I defended you on the last post, but now you are on your own with this one. What does smoking, tattoos and nice cars have to do with good parenting?! What an idiotic statement.

Df - At face value I'd agree with your assessment of MI statement. However I think in her reply she's suggesting that the parents who spend money on the listed items instead of the welfare of their children seeking charity should be investigated.

But maybe I'm wrong..........

I would see issue with any of the above things if they were put above the needs of the children. Tattoos or fake fingernails, if we use that money instead of feeding or buying mittens for our children, we are wrong. This does not mean everyone who smokes, has tattoos, or likes to tan is a bad parent.

If I truly felt that was what she was saying, I'd be 100% with you.
