Why that's just nonsense, Professor. I'll bet if you bombed the right place you could get me to surrender. And I bet if I bombed the right place, I could get you to surrender. When I ran this by several acquaintances today, they all agreed that if we bombed the right place, they'd surrender.
I'm curious as to what makes you believe that there is nothing we could do to either kill these people or make them surrender. You're giving these idiots alot more credit than they deserve.
Maybe some kryptonite?
Let me see if I can butt in my two cents to this issue. I hope we can all agree that terrorism is not a person, place, or country. One can not defeat terrorism with a bomb.
While there is no clear cut & dry definition to terrorism, most common definitions of terrorism include only those acts which are intended to create fear. Fear is an emotion, a emotion that would need to be controlled by any country trying to defeat terrorism.
No, terrorism won't be defeated with a bomb and it won't be defeated with some poetic words from Obama. It'll only be defeated with education and the acceptance of others by all.
