JOS, you are correct. I meant to say they filibustered Miquel Estrada's appointment to the federal bench. In any event, Gonzales' appointment as Atty. Gen. was supported by only 6 Dems.
I believe the Republicans don't have to worry about "losing" significant Hispanic voters if they decide to oppose a racist supreme court candidate.
