But Mallory, if 1% doesn't bother you, then 2 or 3 or 5 or 12 shouldn't if, indeed, you are truly that "unselfish" person that you claim you are.  Please, step up and volunteer.

Frankly folks, it does not matter if you are conservative or liberal when it comes to this 'health care bill'.

1. NO ONE has seen/read this bill.

2. Why the big rush to pass this bill that NO ONE knows what's in it?

EVERY person, regardless of their political views, should know how these changes will affect them so that they can contact their congressional representative.

If, indeed, this change would still leave 33 million Americans without healthcare then it should be sh**canned - but let's let this 'transparent' administration make the details of this proposal truly transparent so that we may know what can happen.

Remember the HUGE rush to pass the Stimulus Package? No one read that either and now we are learning that the major segment that was stimulated was the Federal Government.

Slow down, read and heed!

First and foremost, Obama DOES advocate single payer healthcare, aka socialized medicine, and has said so.  He even laments that private, employer provided healthcare can't be eliminated right away, that he envisions it taking 10, 15, or 20 years to accomplish!  My proposal to all who agree with him is to tour the two Genesis hospitals, then Trinity, Mercy, and yes, even Unity.  Then have a close look at the Vet's hospital in Ia City, which is, ofcourse govt. run.  The later is what's in store for all of us if Obama gets his way.  Believe me,  none of us want any part of that.

People gripe about Reagan and trickle down economics....now we have Obama and trickle up poverty!
