Here's the deal - IF acorn had only registered mickey mouse and others of that same ilk in ONE place we would all say okay, so they had a bad worker who was trying to get more money by turning in LOTS of voter registrations, but when these bad registrations were from EVERYWHERE in the USA, one tends to believe that this is the philosophy of that organization.
EVERYWHERE? Could you be more specific, please? Everywhere is kind of a general term considering ACORN has over 850 offices in more than 100 cities in the United States. Surely you're not implying that there were "bad registrations" in every single office. Could you tell me where these "bad registrations" were to back up your EVERYWHERE claim?
Bottom line - they were getting taxpayer dollars to turn in voter registrations that were not valid. Therin lies the crime that most Americans feel has occurred. I say MOST Americans cause there is always JOS and rosanne barr who strongly defend these criminal actions.
"...most Americans feel has occurred." That's an interesting word, feel. We can all feel something whether it has any basis in fact or not. Feelings are a lot like opinions in that respect. It doen't mean that they're right, they just feel that way.
So if you add those practices to the young couple's undercover taping in several acorn offices, at first blush, one with any concern about corruption sees BIG red flags.
Several? These tapings took place in what? Seven cities? Involving what? 10 employees? Again, they have over 850 offices. That's means they taped in less than one percent of the offices in the country. AND they have how may employees at each office? Now we're down to an even smaller percentage.
Yes, some ACORN employees did some deceitful and illegal things. That doesn't mean that ACORN condoned those actions simply because less than one percent of their employees were involved.
