I don't know what you think the point is here but if you go back a bit you'll find the Biguy contends that Representative Reichert has no power to do anything about pollution in Muscatine and MY POINT is that he does.   BB goes on to say things like " won't do anything because he can't" and "...he has no authority in these matters" and continues with some cutesy stuff about doggies and puppy paws being slapped and ends with one of his favorite fall back positions "He's a liar" which proves nothing.

Tonight's Muscatine Journal, on the front page, says "Reichert is Chair of the Agricultural and Natural Recources Appropriations Subcommittee.   That sounds like he has a modest amount of authority.   If you don't believe he has the position you can ask the Journal to print a correction and see what they come back with.

I might add, Democrats don't believe in a monarchy or a dictatorial form of goverment.   They're much more collegial in their use of power.

Again...you need a lesson in civics...being on a SUB-committiee is nothing. It gives them zero power. Do you actually think legislators in Iowa are the air pollution police?
