OK, BS, you want to list the political affiliations of the county auditor, county treasurer,  county attorney, county sheriff, and county recorder?   Maybe assessor and engineer, too.   You could then tell us what each of them has to do with the unemployment rate.

----------------------------------------

No, I don't mallcontent. That's the whole problem...davie took it upon himself to try and slight republicans being the leaders of the county board with the current unemployment rate...or did you not read his clearly defined post????

I read his clearly defined post.   It said "under Republican leadership".   The county officials I cited above are part of the county leadership.

Take your unrelated crap up with davieboy....he's the one that introduced this facet!!!!!

It's not unrelated as I point out above.   I have no way to reach davieboy.

I have no obligation to answer you....

You, of course have no obligation.    Don't worry about it.   You seldom, no I believe never, answer any question that would require an admission of error or inconsistancy.   Even though there are a lot of them, I don't expect you to this time either.

"You seldom, no I believe never, answer any question that would require an admission of error or inconsistancy. Even though there are a lot of them, I don't expect you to this time either."

I laughed when I read this - you and tp are the MASTERS of evasion. If you, mal, answer a question it is usually so convoluted that one has trouble figuring out what you mean and tp can only say that everyone lies - sounds like a fourth grader - you lied ,liar, liar. Gets really old.

The elections are non-partisan but the council members and mayor do have pary affiliations.   Most people who want to know what they are do know.   Last I heard one is co-chair or vice-chair of the Muscatine County Republican Central Committee.

 ---------------------------------------------------

OMG!!!! One might be connected privately to the local GOP???? The sky is falling!!!!

Well, mallcontent; try telling the world something the world does not already know! DUH!

The topic davieboy clearly posted was the "fact" (his word) that county government is controlled by republicans. Please stay on topic and quit disrespecting davie by going off on your own tangents that have nothing to do with davie's post. Then he tried to assert he meant the mayor by asking about the mayor. Well, the "mayor" is not the mayor outside of city government. So what party he or any city council members privately are with have nothing to do with politics and control of the city government. That's why city government is called non-partisan.

There is a mayor and seven council members if you care to research what party they all belong to. I have no need. The conversation here was about the county.

You just get all worked up when a fact appears, don't you?

I doubt if 1 out of 100 residents of Muscatine know the party affiliation of the city government.

I'll let davie speak for himself here if he feels he has been disrespected.

Then he tried to assert he meant the mayor by asking about the mayor. Well, the "mayor" is not the mayor outside of city government.

The mayor is mayor to about 60% of the county and an even larger per cent of the economy.

So what party he or any city council members privately are with have nothing to do with politics and control of the city government. That's why city government is called non-partisan.

You're naive about this.
