Muscatine

I'm convinced that most people who "wave" others through at 4 way stops are too dumb to know that it's their turn to proceed.  As a school bus driver, I've witnessed this countless times.  These are the same folks who think the use of a turn signal is optional!

They are usually to busy talking or texting to be even remotely aware of what's going on around them.  Scary.

I have screamed and yelled at people for years about this, giving up the right of way.  Just ask my wife, she hears most of it.  Problem was when we had the "A Planet's Wild" graphics put on our car I could no longer yell at people and flip them off.  I was afraid I would make someone mad and they would not shop at the store.  So I had to be on my best driving behavior.  But now that we no longer have the store... he he  You see the Planet's Wild mobile coming get off the sidewalk cause I don't care anymore! People who give up the right of way are not polite, they are a menance to driving!

In order to be safe driving on the streets of Muscatine, one MUST be a mind reader! I have come close to being clobbered SO many times! Take the stop at Isett and Clay - a couple of times I have approached the sign on Isett, stopped, the car on Clay proceeded and now it's my turn - right? -well not according to the second car on Clay - they just darted right out there. Good thing my brakes work! Many times I was driving into the mall at the north end (where menards used to be) and had a car that was at the stop sign right by the station just pull right out in front of me. Cars coming into the mall do not have a stop sign! I know - all of us could go on and on. People - USE YOUR TURN SIGNALS!!!!!!!!!!
