Mal:  I know what the founders meant in the first amendment, but what do you mean by "freedom of religion"?  Can you be specific?

Today's qc times has a letter to the editor about the Restoring Honor Rally on 8/28. You can read it and the comments at qctimes.com - click on 'opinion' and read at 'letters to the editor' about the Washington rally written by a person from the qc who attended the Rally.

It's a shortcut expression for part of what the first amendment covers.

It's like separation of church and state.   Words not in the first amendment of the constitution but used by reasonable people as a shorter way to express their meaning.

You didn't answer the question (of course).  What do YOU mean by "separation of church and state"?
