A lot of people seem to be up and arms about this bill, that it will trample civil rights. How can that be? I don't understand it. (I am a self proffessed moron you know) The only rights it will be trampling are the lawbreakers. If the police come up to me on the street and say I wasnt to see some ID, I show it to them. If they knock on my door and say we want to search your house, I say come on in, excuse the mess. Because I have nothing to hide. I live within the confines of the law. I have done nothing wrong so therefore have nothing to hide. And that is true for everyone who lives within the confines of the law. The only ones negitively affected are the ones living outside of the law, say undocumented people who can not produce ID. They are breaking the law so how are their civil rights being violated? I think this is a brilliant law and should be everywhere. Yes, I agree the courts will probably strike it down, but why? Can anyone explain?
